Anyway, today is the first time I perform a gig, with my band, Crysan't. Yes, the name is inspired from your local drink, the crysanthemun tea hahaha. Why we chose this name, actually I'm not too sure, but somehow we decided on crysan't after a few beverages pop out.

Its the first time this band performs, for this 2006 Chinese New Year gig for Hougang NTUC club. As always I talk funny and I'm very nervous hence alot of crap come out hahaha, anyway Ray's friend say we are a cute band lah, I dont know its good or bad. I think people would have the idea that we would be like "wang fu yue tuan" haha.

We played a total of 5 songs, 4 covers and 1 original. Seriously I think we did better during jamming haha. I almost forgot the lyrics for the first song as being too nervous and people do actually notice it...opps. The timing for tao wang was very messy at first. the two guitar was quite clashing, so I go with the drum beat. The band is not tight ne, but we would be one day, look towards it ne. The best song I like is First day by sun yanzi, its a very lighthearted song, very casual, but got quite some high parts that would quite straining lah. Overall my singing is still very soft, Urghhhh i want to have a stronger voice. Everyone is so good in their playing I dont wanna drag the band down ne. Ganbarimasu~~

For the preperation of this gig and during this gig, I meet a lot of nice people. I get to know this band, Tiet, when we went jamming in their jamming studio. They were very nice guys, always encouraging and welcoming, especially I'm the first time performing, they gave me a lot of support. They were a bunch of music lovers, crazy about the areas they were working on, and they dont show attitude. They really brings out the best of music, communicating with the audience their thinking, teamwork, and they reflected that music unites the world. There also this guitarist cum vocalist from errrr.......I forgot the name ^^'' anyway, his also very friendly. Wenjie and him started chatting and them we went to eat macdonalds together and talk more about music. This girl who we just know today too also join us. She is a very sporting audience, she makes the gigs more enjoyable and we were very glad that she cheered for us, making us calm and giving us support, thank you so much. We decided to gave her a VIP invitation for our future gigs haha.

We have the good things, we also would have bad ones. Our band seems to be very demoralised after this gig. Although we performed badly for this time, it doesnt mean we always would. i believe in you guys, you all posessed the wonderful passion for music, for your instrument. Its through this gig that I realised that its a wonderful feeling being able to sing on stage, I'm very thankful for the chance and you guys who make it true. I believe we would came to be one of the strongest band if we were not easily defeated by failures, course Rally, Wenjie, Jason, and Alan, you all are my best musicians. I hope one day I can outshine you all, and we will make this band the brightest star.
